Personal Training & Massage Sessions – The Gold Standard in Rehabilitation and Wellbeing

My integrated approach to recovery and wellness combines expert personal training with the therapeutic benefits of massage therapy. These combined sessions are ideal for clients recovering from injury or those focused on maximising their weekly wellbeing.

Session Options:

  • Integrated 2-Hour Session: 60 minutes of Personal Training immediately followed by 60 minutes of Massage Therapy.
  • Integrated 90-Minute Session: 45 minutes of Personal Training immediately followed by 45 minutes of Massage Therapy.

Injury Recovery

Combining personal training and sports massage accelerates healing, reduces discomfort, and builds resilience. This structured approach aims to:

  • Build strength and range of motion through targeted training.
  • Target soft tissue around the injury site to enhance the body’s natural recovery mechanisms.

Key Benefits:

  • Supports Healing & Recovery: This dual approach addresses multiple aspects of recovery. Massage can help improve blood flow, potentially aiding the body’s natural healing processes. Personal training can help address underlying issues through functional movement correction and targeted exercises.
  • May Help with Pain Relief: Massage immediately after exercise can potentially reduce the impact of delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS). It may also offer relief by alleviating muscle tension.
  • Supports Range of Motion & Flexibility: Techniques like myofascial release may help address tightness that restricts full range of movement. During exercise, movements can be selected to gently encourage range of motion, while carefully managing intensity.

Enhanced Wellbeing

These sessions may be beneficial for individuals seeking to enhance their overall wellbeing.

  • Potential Stress & Anxiety Support: Both exercise and massage are widely used for stress reduction. Exercise can stimulate the release of endorphins, while massage can promote relaxation. Studies suggest massage may improve perceived stress, anxiety, and general wellbeing.
  • Potential Mood Elevation and Mental Clarity Support: Massage has been associated with increased levels of mood-regulating neurotransmitters, which may help support mood and focus.
  • Potential Support for Sleep Quality: The relaxation benefits of massage, combined with the physical activity component of training, can potentially support regulation of sleep cycles and overall sleep quality—a key component of both physical and mental recovery.
